To prepare Murungakka poricha kuzhambu, cut drumsticks into finger length pieces. Also chop onions and tomatoes into cubes.
Take a pan; pour oil and sauté onion in it for few minutes. It is not necessary to cook till it turns brown because we will cook it once again after grinding.
Now add tomatoes to it. After few seconds add the grated coconut and sauté it well.
Turn off the stove and leave it for some time. Now grind it to paste and keep it aside.
Take another pan; pour oil and season it with mustard, fennel seeds, and curry leaves. The fennel seeds adds flavor to this Murungakka poricha kuzhambu recipe.
Then add drumstick pieces and cook it for few minutes.
Add turmeric powder, curry powder (homemade kuzhambu masala), grinded paste, salt, and mix it well.
Pour water as required. Allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
