Ingredients for Tea kadai bajji:
 400 g Besan flour
 200 g Rice flour
 2 tsp Kashmir chilli powder
 1 tsp Baking soda
 ¼ tsp Asafetida
 ¼ tsp Carom seeds
 Salt as required
 1 tbsp Coconut oil
 1 tsp Ghee
 Groundnut oil, as required
 1 qt Raw Banana
 1 qt Banana pepper
 2 qts Oregano leaf
 2 qts Egg
 1 qt Onion
 1 qt Potato
 2 qts Baby corn

Method of preparation of tea kadai bajji:

In a bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, Kashmir chilli powder, baking soda, asafetida, carom seeds, and salt. Mix them well.

Now add coconut oil and ghee, mix well. Ghee adds a good aroma to tea kadai bajji.

Add water little by little and make the batter. The batter should be in idli batter consistency.

Now peel the skin of plantain, potato, and onion and slice them into thin pieces.

Cut banana pepper into two halves.

Boil the egg, remove the shell.

Now heat the groundnut oil, dip the veggies in the batter and fry them in a medium flame.

Similarly, dip the eggs and oregano leaves in the batter and fry it.

Now serve the hot tea kadai bajji with coconut chutney and have a cheerful tea time with your family and friends.

Tips and tricks

To avoid dripping of batter in oil while frying tea kadai bajji, make sure the batter is in idli batter consistency.

To prepare an exemplary tea kadai bajji, cut both the ends of the plantain and use the center portion.

Use a vegetable slicer instead of knife to get thin and even slices of plantain and potato.

Remove the seeds from banana peppers before dipping it in the batter.
